Nextkidney is proud to announce the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Center for Industrial Development (Saudi Arabia) and Saudi Medical Cell Therapy. This strategic agreement aims to localize and develop the manufacturing of portable dialysis devices within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in the future of kidney care.
Portable dialysis devices represent a paradigm shift in the treatment of kidney failure. By enabling patients to conduct dialysis sessions in the comfort of their own homes, these devices contribute to a better quality of life, while also helping to ease the burden on healthcare infrastructure.
Through this collaboration :
- The clinical development of Nextkidney’s technology will continue in the Kingdom, with the support of the Industrial Center.
- Stronger ties will be built with local manufacturers in areas such as electronics, tubing, and medical solutions.
- Cooperation will extend to the agricultural sector, as the technology relies on biological components sourced locally.
The MoU was signed in the presence of :
- H.E. Eng. Saleh Al-Salami, CEO of the Industrial Center
- Mr. John Stooker, Director of Operations, Nextkidney
- Professor Marine van der Steen, Board Member, Nextkidney
John Stooker, Director of Operations of Nextkidney : “This agreement is a major step forward in bringing life-changing technology closer to patients and in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s healthcare and industrial ecosystems”.
Nextkidney looks forward to working closely with its Saudi partners to make home dialysis a reality for more patients worldwide.
